Why Hire a Professional Genealogist?
Genealogy is already a popular past time for many, though hiring a professional may aid even the most avid hobbyist in solving their challenging family mysteries. Furthermore, with advancements in DNA testing, many professionals are well-versed in DNA analysis for shedding light on genetic connections, helping individuals confirm their relationships with others, explore their ethnicity, or find biological relatives.

Professionals also have experience in more complicated research processes, such as creating family history reports and researching in archives. Reports are a necessary part of documenting family history for future generations, as well-crafted reports both aid in documenting engaging narratives for our ancestors, but also can be used in more official settings, such as when family history research is needed in legal cases. In addition to reports, professionals are skilled at navigating complex archival collections and analyzing their records, which may be difficult for the average researcher to access or interpret.
